Arin Patterson, a 36-year-old senior associate director at UNC Charlotte, has gained attention for creating a “husband” application via Google Forms to streamline her search for a life partner.

Since launching the application on September 8, Patterson has received more than 241 formal submissions and between 1,000 and 1,500 direct messages. Patterson, a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, stated that the move came after attempting traditional dating methods, including dating apps and in-person meetings, without finding the right match.
