Tennessee University linebacker Arion Carter is set to make his season debut this Saturday against Georgia Tech in Atlanta following an NCAA suspension for the previous week's opener. Carter, a senior and team captain, is considered a vital leader for the 18th-ranked Volunteers defense.

In addition to his return to the field, Carter has been named to the 2026 Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award watch list. He is one of 89 nominees recognized for leadership, integrity, and sportsmanship. Carter's recent off-field initiatives include partnering with his mother's nonprofit, Girls in Real Life Situations, to donate $427 for every tackle he records this season.
