Jair Bolsonaro reported with tachycardia and shortness of breath in medical bulletin
A medical bulletin submitted to the Supreme Federal Court (STF) reports that former president Jair Bolsonaro experienced episodes of tachycardia and shortness of breath on October 2. According to the report signed by cardiologist Brasil Ramos Caiado, the symptoms were brief and improved spontaneously without the need for medical intervention.
While the bulletin states that Bolsonaro maintains cardiorespiratory and hemodynamic stability, it notes persistent side effects from central-acting medications, including chronic instability in body balance and daytime sleepiness. The former president is currently following a strict diet low in sodium and acidity and is receiving preventive care to manage gastroesophageal reflux and reduce the risk of falls.
Bolsonaro is currently serving a sentence of 27 years and three months in house arrest, a measure authorized for health reasons following a previous hospitalization for aspirative bronchopneumonia. Additionally, Minister Kassio Nunes Marques has been designated as the rapporteur for a new request for criminal revision regarding his conviction for a coup attempt.
