Aris BC signs Thanasis Antetokounmpo; AEK FC reacquires João Mário

Greek sports clubs have made significant roster moves. Aris BC has officially signed veteran forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo to a 2+1 year contract. The 34-year-old, a former NBA champion with the Milwaukee Bucks, returns to Greece to play under coach Vasilis Spanoulis. He joins fellow Antetokounmpo, Kostas, at the Thessaloniki-based club.

In football, AEK FC has announced the return of Portuguese midfielder João Mário. The 33-year-old joins from Beşiktaş on a two-year deal after previously helping AEK secure the 2025-26 Greek championship.

Additionally, Olympiacos center Bryant Dunston has extended his stay with the club for one month on a renewable basis as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
