Aris Biniaris to direct Dogville adaptation in Piraeus

Director Aris Biniaris will present his adaptation of Lars von Trier’s iconic film ‘Dogville’ at the Piraeus Municipal Theatre in November 2026. The production aims to translate the film’s abstract universe into a high-intensity theatrical ritual.

The play explores a closed community defined by fear and a fragile moral order, functioning as a mechanism of control where tension escalates to examine the limits of forgiveness in the face of injustice. The production features a translation by Antonis Galeos, dramaturgy by Eri Kyrgia, and music by Thodoris Reglis.
