Aris FC committee reports progress on new stadium project

The working committee for the construction of a new Aris FC football stadium has completed its first round of essential contacts with relevant state agencies. The project involves a dual redevelopment plan for the land parcel located at the DYPA site.

According to an official press release, the Greek government has maintained its 2021 commitment to keep the site available for Aris FC, provided specific conditions are met. Local authorities, including the Region of Central Macedonia and the Municipalities of Thessaloniki and Pylaia, have expressed support for the project due to its potential regional benefits.

The committee’s primary objective is to sign a memorandum of understanding with all involved stakeholders before the upcoming national elections. While initially viewed as an ambitious goal, the committee now considers this target to be fully achievable.
