Aris FC midfielder Manu García sidelined by new injury

Aris FC midfielder Manu García is facing a new injury setback, specifically involving his rectus abdominis. The 28-year-old Spaniard is expected to undergo therapy until the end of next week, causing him to miss the league restart and the upcoming home match against Volos NPS.

This injury follows a difficult period for García, who previously suffered a major ACL tear in January 2023, costing him approximately 260 days on the pitch. After returning in early 2024, he faced further complications from bone edema.

Coach Michalis Grigoriou had hoped for García's continued athletic progression to bolster the squad, but the player's current condition may require between four to 12 weeks of recovery. The club is currently monitoring his progress to determine if further time is needed beyond the initial assessment period.
