Aris FC pursues signings of Ricardo Velio and Christian Makoun

Aris FC is actively pursuing several players to strengthen its roster, focusing on defensive and goalkeeping positions. The club has confirmed ongoing negotiations with Portuguese side Famalicão for the acquisition of 27-year-old goalkeeper Ricardo Velio. Velio, who previously played in Turkey and was part of Portugal's World Cup squad, is reportedly seeking a release from his current club amid strained relations.

Simultaneously, Aris is in discussions with Bulgarian champions Levski Sofia for 26-year-old Venezuelan center-back Christian Makoun. Makoun, who has experience in the MLS and Cyprus, currently holds a contract with Levski Sofia until 2027. While Makoun has drawn interest from other clubs, including Samsung Sport, Aris aims to finalize this transfer by early next week to add depth to its defensive line.
