Aris hires Vasilis Spanoulis as new head coach

Greek basketball club Aris Thessaloniki is targeting Vasilis Spanoulis, one of the most sought‑after EuroLeague coaches, to become its technical director for the upcoming season. The club’s general manager says the decision of the federation's technical director will shape Aris’s season plan, and the organization is ready to raise its competitive budget to meet Spanoulis’s terms.

Aris is in a critical ten‑day window, with negotiations handled by agent Misko Raznatović. While Spanoulis remains the primary candidate, the club is also evaluating alternatives such as Igor Milicic, Giacomo Lacobit, and Luca Banci, depending on how negotiations conclude in early June.
