Aris Mougkopetros returns to performing after severe injury

Clarinetist Aris Mougkopetros has returned to performing live following a severe injury caused by a firework at a festival approximately one year ago. The incident resulted in partial loss of vision and the amputation of part of his right hand.

Speaking on the SKAI program ‘Proini Enimerosi’, Mougkopetros stated that he has moved past the trauma, describing it as something that feels as though it never happened. He emphasized the importance of perseverance through life's difficulties, noting that his return to the stage has been met with overwhelming public support.

He expressed gratitude for the affection shown by the public, ranging from elderly citizens to younger generations, noting that the involvement of younger people in traditional music celebrations has been a significant development in his recent performances.
