Aris Mougkopetros updates on health and legal status
Greek clarinetist Aris Mougkopetros has shared updates regarding his health and personal life following a severe injury caused by a firework accident in April 2025. After undergoing his eighth and final hand surgery, the musician revealed that he lost his middle, index, and thumb fingers. Surgeons successfully used a graft to reconstruct his thumb, preventing the need for amputation.
Mougkopetros also disclosed that his right eye sustained significant damage, leaving him with approximately 15% to 20% vision.
In addition to his physical recovery, the musician announced he has withdrawn all previously filed lawsuits, stating he has found peace since Easter. He also addressed his recent divorce, noting that the well-being of his children remains his priority, and reflected on a recent breathalyzer incident as a valuable life lesson.
