Aris Servetalis to star in MEGA's new religious series
MEGA is developing a new twelve-episode religious drama series titled ‘Saint Joseph the Hesychast’. The production stars Aris Servetalis in the lead role, with Tasos Lekkas also appearing in the cast.
The series chronicles the life of Fragiskos Koti, born in 1897 in Paros, who later became the monk Joseph the Hesychast. The narrative follows his journey from a difficult childhood and labor in Paros to his spiritual transformation and ascetic life on Mount Athos.
Filming has already taken place in locations including Mount Athos, Paros, and the Penteli Monastery. The series is written by Giorgos Tsiakkas and directed by Stamos Tsamis, the creative team behind the ‘Saint Paisios’ series. A premiere is tentatively expected in the second half of 2027.
