Aris signs Vasilis Spanoulis as head coach

Greek basketball club KAÉ Aris confirmed that it is in the final stages of completing a three‑year agreement with former EuroLeague coach Vasilis Spanoulis to assume the team's technical leadership. The negotiations, which lasted at least two months, have moved from an initial probability of 0.01 % to a concrete deal, with only procedural details remaining before official signing.

The club’s General Manager Nikos Zisis played a key role in advancing the talks, leveraging his personal relationship with Spanoulis. The agreement is intended to strengthen Aris’s competitive position domestically and in European competition, supporting the club’s ambition to return to the EuroLeague.

Aris announced that the partnership will focus on a clear development plan, increased investment, and organisational upgrades aimed at elevating the team’s performance over the coming three seasons.
