Aris Thessaloniki completes permanent signing of Martin Hongla

Greek club Aris has finalized the mandatory purchase option for Cameroonian midfielder Martin Hongla from Spanish side Granada. The three‑year contract, worth about €1.5 million, follows a loan spell that began in January during which Hongla made 17 appearances and scored three goals. The club views him as a key component of a strengthened midfield alongside Uroš Račić.

Aris is also addressing Hongla’s knee injury, with the player and the club weighing surgical versus conservative treatment options before confirming his long‑term availability.
