Aris defeats Maroussi 74-57 in Greek Basketball League

Aris secured a 74-57 victory over Maroussi at the Nick Galis Hall during the third round of the Stoiximan GBL. The win marks Aris's second consecutive league victory and their fourth consecutive win across all competitions.

Matt Morgan led the scoring for Aris with 22 points, while Nenad Dimitrijevic contributed 14 points. Maroussi's top scorer was Jordan Walker with 18 points, supported by Silvio De Sousa, who recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The victory was tempered by an injury to Aris player Vassilis Charalampopoulos, who left the game in the first half. Initial assessments suggest a calf strain, and he has been taken to a clinic for an MRI.

Maroussi coach Ilias Papatheodorou noted that while his team showed effort and defensive intensity, poor efficiency on layups and open shots prevented them from remaining competitive in the second half.
