Aristotle University of Thessaloniki celebrates European Day of Languages
To celebrate the European Day of Languages on September 26, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is organizing a series of educational events through its Department of French Language and Literature.
A digital language awareness competition titled ‘Glossodromio 2026’ will run from September 21 to September 30. Aimed at middle and high school students across Greece, the contest focuses on linguistic observation rather than prior knowledge of a specific foreign language. Participants will answer twelve questions drawn from sixteen thematic modules to identify linguistic patterns.
Additionally, a scientific seminar titled ‘Culture through Theatrical Practice and Foreign Language’ will be held on September 26. The seminar explores intercultural communication, embodied learning, and communicative confidence through theater. The event includes a tribute to educator and actress Catherine Dasté, recognizing her contributions to youth theater.
