ARITAC warns of fraudulent IMSS employer registrations

The Association in Industrial Relations of Toluca (ARITAC) has issued an alert regarding a fraud scheme involving the unauthorized creation of employer registrations with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).

According to the association, unauthorized individuals are obtaining or compromising digital signatures (e.firma) to impersonate legal representatives. This allows them to perform unauthorized movements within the IMSS system, generating employer registrations across various regions and registering workers who are not part of the actual company payrolls.

ARITAC warned that these actions could lead to legal, fiscal, financial, and labor contingencies for affected organizations. To prevent these issues, the association recommends that companies frequently access the IMSS Virtual Desk and Mailbox to verify all employer registrations linked to their Taxpayer Registry (RFC) and ensure that all registered employees correspond to their actual workforce.
