Arizona Cardinals announce 2026 team captains

The Arizona Cardinals have announced their team captains for the 2026 season following a player vote. The leadership group includes quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who is in his first season as a starter for the team, and offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt as offensive captains.

Defensive captains are safety Budda Baker and linebacker Mack Wilson Sr., while long snapper Casey Kreiter will represent the special teams. Baker, Froholdt, and Wilson are returning captains from the previous season.

Head coach Mike LaFleur noted that the captains were chosen by the players in the locker room. He emphasized the importance of the role, stating that being voted a captain indicates that teammates look up to the individual to “keep it real with each other, hold people to standards, [and] communicate.”
