Arizona Cardinals evaluate timeline for rookie QB Carson Beck

The Arizona Cardinals are evaluating the timeline for rookie quarterback Carson Beck to take over a starting role. Currently holding a 1-4 record, the team continues to rely on veteran Jacoby Brissett at quarterback, while Beck remains the third option on the official depth chart as an emergency backup.

Reports suggest that while Beck is expected to see playing time this season, his debut may be delayed until late November when the team's schedule becomes more favorable. Potential windows for his involvement include a matchup against the Washington Commanders on November 29 or a stretch of games between Weeks 15 and 17 against the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, and Las Vegas Raiders.

Head coach Mike LaFleur has indicated that the quarterback position may undergo re-evaluation, raising questions about whether Beck will eventually leapfrog veteran Gardner Minshew II on the depth chart.
