Arizona football remains unranked in AP Top 25 despite 5-1 start

Despite a 5-1 start to the season, the Arizona Wildcats remain unranked in the Associated Press Top 25. Following a 52-31 victory over West Virginia in Morgantown, Arizona received 82 votes, placing them 28th overall and just behind Wisconsin and Oregon in the receiving votes category.

The Wildcats' only loss this season was to No. 8 BYU, a game in which Arizona led for much of the first half. Their recent performance includes a 34-7 win against Cincinnati and a perfect 3-0 record in non-conference play. In the Coaches Poll, Arizona sits two spots outside the rankings with 92 votes.

Arizona is currently on a bye week and will face Iowa State on Oct. 24. Upcoming Big 12 matchups include a game against No. 10 Texas Tech on Oct. 31 and a home game against No. 11 Utah on Nov. 14.
