Arizona gubernatorial race: Hobbs leads Biggs in new poll
A new poll from Noble Predictive Insights shows Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs holding a 13-point lead over Republican U.S. Representative Andy Biggs in the Arizona gubernatorial race. Among likely voters, Hobbs holds 48% support compared to 35% for Biggs.
While the Hobbs campaign maintains the race will be close, the poll indicates Biggs holds 75% support among likely Republican voters, while Hobbs maintains 86% support among likely Democrats. Noble Predictive Insights suggests the race may tighten as the election approaches in this battleground state.
Simultaneously, Biggs is facing criticism from a group of advocates, including a former state legislator and domestic violence survivors. The group held a press conference accusing Biggs of failing to protect children and blocking bipartisan legislation intended to remove law enforcement authority from the Colorado City Marshal's Office following allegations of abuse and religious discrimination.
