Arizona man arrested for impersonating police on I-17

Scott Carl Millage, a 60-year-old resident of Cave Creek, was arrested for impersonating a police officer on Interstate 17 in north Phoenix. The incident occurred near Dove Valley Road when Millage used a silver Chevrolet 2500-series pickup truck equipped with red-and-blue emergency lights mounted on the dashboard to signal a silver Tesla to pull over.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Millage approached the vehicle, demanded work badges from the occupants, and accused them of speeding and running red lights. After the stop, Millage contacted emergency dispatchers to report that he had conducted a traffic stop and was awaiting a state trooper.

Troopers arrived and reviewed internal vehicle recording footage from the Tesla, which confirmed the unauthorized use of emergency lights. Millage was taken into custody and booked on charges of impersonating a police officer. Authorities have released the vehicle description and driver details in case the individual has stopped other motorists.
