Arizona men’s basketball faces loss in Lithuania and NCAA suspension
The Arizona men’s basketball team is currently on an 11-day tour of Lithuania. During their first game at Jonavos Sporto Arena, the Wildcats lost 99-88 to a Lithuania “B” team. Sophomore Ivan Kharchenkov led the scoring with 25 points, while freshman Caleb Holt contributed 13 points. Motiejus Krivas, a former Wildcat, played 11 minutes as coach Tommy Lloyd manages his recovery from a minor injury.
Amid the tour, transfer RJ Godfrey is facing a four-game suspension from the NCAA. Although a Georgia court ruled him eligible for the 2026-27 season, the NCAA has suspended him due to his previous involvement with an agent and an all-star exhibition game. Godfrey is expected to miss four games in November, including matchups against UCLA, Cal Poly, NAU, and Auburn. His legal team has filed a motion in Georgia to challenge the suspension.
