Arizona State baseball shuts out Naranjeros de Hermosillo

Arizona State University baseball secured a 10-0 shutout victory against the Naranjeros de Hermosillo during the Mexican Baseball Fiesta at American Family Field in Phoenix.

The Sun Devils' offense recorded 14 hits, highlighted by a decisive fifth inning where 11 batters reached base and five runs scored. Key contributions included a two-RBI double from Dominic Smaldino in the first inning and a two-RBI single by Brenden Lewis in the fifth. Other scoring plays were provided by Finn Leach, Jet Berry, and Preston Newberry.

On the mound, Arizona State utilized 10 different pitchers to maintain the shutout, allowing only three hits and two walks while recording 11 strikeouts. Head coach Willie Bloomquist noted the team's strong performance in attacking the strike zone despite the festive, loud atmosphere of the event.
