Arizona State coach discusses challenge of defending Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed

Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham addressed the challenge of defending Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed ahead of the Sun Devils' upcoming matchup in College Station. When asked how his team would prepare for Reed, Dillingham jokingly responded, “Pray.”

Dillingham praised Reed’s dual-threat capabilities, noting that while the quarterback is recognized for his athleticism and ability to make plays outside the pocket, he also possesses an “unbelievable touch” on deep and intermediate passes.

Reed, a second-year starter, recorded 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns last season. While some analysts have raised questions regarding his efficiency and completion rate, Dillingham emphasized that Reed’s ability to execute precise sideline throws makes him a difficult opponent to game plan against.
