Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham addresses Baylor blowout loss

Arizona State football coach Kenny Dillingham addressed the team's recent 55-19 blowout loss to Baylor, which marks the largest margin of defeat for the Sun Devils since joining the Big 12 in 2024. Dillingham expressed significant frustration following the game, stating, “I’m just as mad as you are,” and acknowledging the disappointment felt by the fan base.

During a press conference ahead of the Week 6 matchup against Hawai'i, Dillingham discussed the pressures of coaching and the volatility of the profession. He noted the difficulty of wanting to remain in a specific location long-term while coaching a high-stakes sport, remarking, “You get hired to get fired.” He also commented on the influence of social media, advising players not to get involved in the “reality show” aspect of modern college football.

Quarterback Cutter Boley, a transfer from Kentucky, noted that the team is currently working to find its identity. Despite the loss, Boley recorded 304 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
