Arizona Wildcats see mixed recruiting results in softball and basketball

The Arizona Wildcats athletic programs have seen mixed results in recent recruiting developments. In softball, middle infielder Jessa Hettiger, a top-25 recruit for the class of 2028, has committed to Arizona. Hettiger, who plays for Paraclete High School and OC Batbusters, is highly ranked as a versatile utility player.

In men's basketball, the Wildcats missed out on a major commitment for the 2027 class. Five-star center Darius Wabbington, a top-15 overall recruit, announced his commitment to Indiana over Arizona and Illinois. Wabbington, a 6-foot-10 player from Phoenix, is considered one of the premier high school centers in the country.
