Arizona Wildcats sign Clemson forward RJ Godfrey

The University of Arizona men's basketball program announced the signing of RJ Godfrey, a transfer from Clemson. Godfrey, a 6‑foot‑8 forward from Suwanee, Georgia, averaged 12.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and shot 61% for the Tigers last season. He is expected to join the Wildcats’ frontcourt under head coach Tommy Lloyd and compete for a starting power‑forward role.

Godfrey’s eligibility was confirmed after a recent Colorado court decision that granted a fifth year of eligibility to players affected by the NCAA lawsuit. The signing adds to Arizona’s revamped frontcourt, which also includes transfers from Nebraska and Idaho State, as the Wildcats aim for back‑to‑back Final Four appearances.
