Arjan Malić welcomed in Cazin after national team debut
On 12 July 2026, 20‑year‑old defender Arjan Malić, one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's promising "Zmajevi", was given a formal reception in the town of Cazin. The ceremony was organized by the city administration and attended by many local citizens who celebrated his recent appearances for the national team.
Mayor Nermin Ogrešević highlighted the symbolic importance of the football team's successes for a country still coping with war‑time memories, describing Malić’s patriotism and family background—his father Osmo served in the police and fought in the 510th brigade of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He thanked the player for promoting the nation and said, "When you defend the colours of Bosnia and Herzegovina you give everything," wishing him continued health and success.
