Arjun Ram Meghwal joins ‘Drug-Free Punjab’ campaign in Fazilka

Union Minister of State Arjun Ram Meghwal participated in a ‘Drug-Free Punjab’ campaign march in Fazilka, Punjab. During the event, Meghwal stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) aims to transform Punjab into a ‘Developed Punjab’ by eradicating the drug menace.

Meghwal emphasized that the march is not a political tool but a social necessity to address the deep-rooted issue of substance abuse. He met with families devastated by addiction, noting the severe economic and social consequences on households.

The Minister criticized the current state administration, alleging that the existing system encourages drug use rather than eliminating it. He claimed that individuals who report drug sales to the police often face retaliation or legal action themselves.
