Ark Invest resumes crypto‑stock purchases, adding Coinbase, Circle and Robinhood
Ark Invest, led by Cathie Wood, restarted buying crypto‑linked equities after a week‑long pause. Across its ARK Innovation (ARKK), ARK Fintech Innovation (ARKF) and ARK Next Generation Internet (ARKW) ETFs the firm added roughly 57,600 shares of Circle, 50,000 shares of Coinbase, 42,100 shares of Bullish and between 12,300 and 35,000 shares of Robinhood. The purchases were part of a broader portfolio rebalancing that also saw new positions in Palantir, SpaceX and Recursion Pharmaceuticals, while exiting holdings such as Alibaba and Roku.
During the same period Coinbase‑backed Base, an Ethereum layer‑2 network, experienced a two‑hour block‑production outage caused by an invalid block. Engineers resolved the consensus issue, and normal block production resumed, with user funds reported safe. The network’s brief disruption coincided with Ark’s increased activity in the crypto‑related stocks.
