ARK Technic files second multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Cuban aviation entities
The Russian aircraft maintenance firm ARK Technic has filed a second multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Cuban state aviation entities in the Moscow Arbitration Court. This new claim, submitted on September 4, seeks to recover over 188 million rubles (approximately $2.23 million) from the Cuban Aviation Import Company (Aviaimport S.A.) and the Cuban Aviation Corporation S.A. (CACSA).
This legal action follows a previous lawsuit filed by ARK Technic on August 3 against Cubana de Aviación and CACSA for approximately 541 million rubles ($6.41 million). If both claims are successful, the total amount sought by the Voronezh-based company would exceed 729 million rubles, or roughly $8.65 million.
While the specific reasons for the new claim have not been disclosed, ARK Technic has maintained commercial ties with Cubana de Aviación's fleet for over 15 years. The company specializes in aircraft repair and maintenance, having recently completed work on a Tupolev Tu-204-100E for the Cuban state airline.
