Arkadiusz Milik faces career uncertainty and real estate controversy
Polish footballer Arkadiusz Milik is involved in both professional career uncertainty and a controversial real estate project. Currently at Juventus, the 32-year-old striker faces limited playing time due to health issues and has not been registered for Serie A or the Europa League, leaving his future in doubt. While a return to the Polish Ekstraklasa—specifically to Górnik Zabrze, where his brother serves as sporting director—has been discussed, reports suggest Milik is uninterested in returning to the Polish league, with interest emerging from clubs in the United Arab Emirates.
Separately, Milik and the company Mamiteq, in which he holds shares, have proposed a major residential development in Katowice. The plan involves building 19 buildings, ranging from one to eleven stories, to house over 4,000 residents on the site of the former Rozwoju stadium. The project has caused significant local concern, as the current spatial management plan designates the area for sports and recreational infrastructure rather than residential use. Residents have expressed anxiety regarding the scale of the buildings compared to the existing low-rise neighborhood.
