Arkansas basketball coach John Calipari implements new offense

Arkansas men’s basketball coach John Calipari announced during SEC Media Days that he has overhauled the team’s halfcourt offense. Calipari stated he was not comfortable with the system the team had practiced throughout the summer, opting to implement changes to better suit the current roster's athleticism and skill sets.

Calipari also highlighted the competitive nature of transfer guard Jeremiah Wilkinson. After joining the Razorbacks from Georgia, Wilkinson has impressed the coaching staff with his defensive intensity and motor, qualities Calipari noted were more pronounced in person than during the initial recruiting process. Additionally, player Billy Richmond has been utilized in various roles, including bringing the ball up the floor, as the team adjusts to new lineups and tactical shifts.
