Arkansas coach John Calipari addresses NIL pay gaps and recruitment

Arkansas head coach John Calipari has publicly addressed the disparities in college athletics regarding Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) compensation. Calipari noted that several of his players earn more through NIL deals than his entire coaching staff combined, despite Arkansas ranking 43rd nationally in NIL spending among top NCAA programs.

In a separate development for the Razorbacks basketball program, five-star 2027 prospect King Gibson is expected to announce his college commitment this Sunday. Gibson, a highly-ranked combo guard from SPIRE Academy, is reportedly choosing between Arkansas, LSU, Providence, and Louisville, with his decision scheduled to be broadcast live on ESPN2.
