Arkansas football faces scrutiny under coach Ryan Silverfield

The Arkansas Razorbacks football program is facing early scrutiny under first-year head coach Ryan Silverfield following a 1-2 start to the season. The team's campaign includes a win against North Alabama followed by consecutive lopsided losses to Utah and Georgia.

Following the loss to Georgia, the Arkansas Board passed a resolution to review the football program. Silverfield, who joined from Memphis on a five-year deal averaging $6.7 million annually, faces a $23.4 million buyout should the university decide to part ways with him this season.

Key areas of concern for the program include offensive line physicality and determining a starting quarterback. The team is scheduled to play Tulsa before beginning an eight-game stretch of SEC competition.
