Arkansas football leadership addresses program struggles and fan frustration
Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek and head football coach Ryan Silverfield have addressed growing fan frustration following the Razorbacks' recent struggles, including losses to Utah and Georgia.
Yurachek expressed understanding regarding the spotlight on the program and admitted that the university should have established a general manager-type position sooner to manage the complexities of NIL, the transfer portal, and revenue sharing. He stated that he and Silverfield are committed to a plan to build a championship-caliber program.
Coach Silverfield emphasized his determination to turn the program around, stating, “I have no doubt, absolutely no doubt in my mind that we will get this program back to where it needs to be.” He noted that while he is not specifically asking for more time, the team is working toward long-term success and alignment within the program.
