Arkansas Game and Fish Commission opens conservation competitions

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) has opened applications for its 2026 Generation Conservation Pre-Summit and Regional competitions. Interested schools have until September 21 to register for the initial round.

Challenges include cooking wild game, quiz bowls, debates, designing nature center exhibits, creating magazine spreads, and developing action plans to improve school conservation footprints. The program is open to public, private, charter, and homeschool students across three divisions: Elementary, Middle School/Junior High, and High School. There are no registration fees, though teachers must register on behalf of their schools.

The competition structure includes pre-conference competitions, regional competitions, and on-site competitions at the statewide summit, which is scheduled for November 4-5 at the Bank OZK Arena and Convention Center in Hot Springs.
