Arkansas prepares for 2026 midterm elections
As the 2026 midterm elections approach in Arkansas, voters have until October 5 to submit paper voter registration applications. Registration cannot be completed online; applicants must use paper forms available through county clerks, the Department of Motor Vehicles, public libraries, or the secretary of state’s elections division. To be eligible, individuals must be U.S. citizens, Arkansas residents, and at least 18 years old.
In preparation for the election, Arkansas TV will host a series of debates from October 12 through October 15. The debates will feature 18 candidates participating in seven different races, including the contests for Governor, U.S. Senate, Secretary of State, and four U.S. Congressional districts. Incumbents such as Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and various members of Congress are among those scheduled to participate in the televised and livestreamed events.
