Arkeofest opens at Aktopraklık Höyük Archeopark in Bursa

The 5th Arkeofest has opened at the Aktopraklık Höyük Archeopark in Bursa, organized by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. The festival aims to shed light on 8,500 years of history through various archaeological displays and activities.

Visitors can explore Neolithic and Chalcolithic excavation sites and architectural reconstructions. The event features experimental archaeology workshops, including stone tool making, fabric dyeing with plants, pottery making, Hittite cuneiform writing, and ancient cooking demonstrations.

The festival also supports local economy by providing a marketplace for female entrepreneurs to sell handmade goods. Free shuttle services are being provided from three Uludağ University stops to the park. The event is free and open to the public, with a scheduled performance by Grup Rafadan on Sunday.
