Arla Foods reports strong H1 2026 growth amid mixed agricultural results
Arla Foods reported a strong performance for the first half of 2026, driven by rising global demand for dairy products and protein. The company achieved a volume-driven revenue growth of 6.7 percent, reaching 7.6 billion euros. Net profit rose to 213 million euros, up from 158 million euros in the same period last year. This growth follows the completion of Arla's merger with DMK and a normalization of prices that boosted consumer demand.
In contrast, FirstFarms A/S reported a pre-tax loss of 50 million DKK for the first half of 2026. The company's results were negatively impacted by low pig and milk prices, as well as drought conditions in Slovakia, which are expected to result in yields 35 percent below budget. While growing conditions in Romania have been favorable, the overall financial performance saw a significant decline compared to the previous year, with EBITDA dropping to 3 million DKK from 54 million DKK.
