Arlington and DC Metro Summer Outdoor and Entertainment Events

Arlington County will host a series of car‑free spring and summer activities, including the free weekly Clarendon Metro Park outdoor concert series on Thursday evenings in May and a free pop‑up art program by the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington that runs on Sundays through mid‑June. The Arlington National Cemetery will also hold its 158th National Memorial Day Observance on May 25, encouraging Metro use due to limited parking.

In the broader Washington, D.C. area, the Mubadala D.C. Open tennis tournament returns to Rock Creek Park on July 27, featuring top players such as Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz. At Nationals Park, the Washington Nationals face the Toronto Blue Jays on July 27, and the Washington Mystics play the Connecticut Sun at CareFirst Arena on July 28 with a “Space Jam” themed night. Free programming includes a Tuesday night screening of *The Social Network* at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, and the musical *CrazySexyCool – The TLC Musical* at Arena Stage on July 29.
