Armadin raises $255.5M at $2.5B valuation for AI cybersecurity

Cybersecurity startup Armadin has raised $255.5 million in a Series B funding round, bringing its total funding to $445 million. The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel, with participation from GV, Kleiner Perkins, and Menlo Ventures. This latest investment places the company’s valuation at over $2.5 billion, just seven months after its public launch.

Founded by Kevin Mandia, the creator of Mandiant, Armadin utilizes autonomous AI agent swarms to conduct continuous vulnerability testing. Unlike traditional scanners that perform isolated checks, Armadin’s platform deploys thousands of agents within a secure sandbox to map internal systems and simulate coordinated attacks. These agents can connect individual low-severity weaknesses into validated kill chains to identify complex security gaps.

The company aims to counter the increasing speed of AI-driven cyberattacks, where frontier models allow attackers to exploit vulnerabilities more rapidly than human teams can respond. By parallelizing tasks, Armadin’s swarms can perform massive, simultaneous scans to help enterprise and government clients strengthen their digital defenses.
