Arman Bihari sent to judicial custody in Umesh Pal murder case
Arman Bihari, a key shooter linked to the Atiq Ahmed gang, has been placed in 14-day judicial custody by a special SC-ST court in Prayagraj. Bihari, who carried a reward of 5 lakh rupees on his head, was brought to Prayagraj from Gaya, Bihar, via transit remand after being located in a local jail for an unrelated matter.
Bihari is a primary suspect in the Umesh Pal murder case, which occurred three years ago in Sulemsarai. CCTV footage from the incident reportedly showed Bihari on a motorcycle armed with a gun, alongside accomplice Guddu Muslim, who was seen deploying explosives.
The Prayagraj Police intend to file an application for police custody remand to interrogate Bihari regarding the details of the murder, his locations while evading capture, and his alleged accomplices. Extensive security, including over 100 personnel, was deployed during his court appearance.
