Arman Tsarukyan faces divided opinions over UFC title shot

Mixed opinions have emerged regarding whether Arman Tsarukyan has earned a shot at the UFC lightweight championship.

Dan Hooker supports Tsarukyan’s claim to a title fight against Justin Gaethje. Hooker noted that Tsarukyan has performed well both inside the octagon and in building his brand through social media and streaming. He believes Tsarukyan has done everything expected of a top contender and deserves the opportunity.

Conversely, Paddy Pimblett argues that Tsarukyan does not deserve a title shot. Pimblett criticized Tsarukyan’s recent performance against Mauricio Ruffy, stating that while the finish was impressive, Tsarukyan looked mediocre for much of the fight. Pimblett also questioned the strength of Tsarukyan’s recent opponents, suggesting that his victories over fighters like Dan Hooker do not justify immediate title contention.
