Arman Tsarukyan proposes Michael Chandler for Ilia Topuria's return

Arman Tsarukyan has suggested that Michael Chandler would be an appropriate opponent for Ilia Topuria’s return to the UFC octagon. Following Topuria’s loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250, which resulted in the loss of his lightweight title and facial injuries, Tsarukyan proposed that the former champion needs an easier fight to regain momentum.

Tsarukyan stated that Topuria is still recovering and will likely face Chandler before attempting to reclaim the title. He characterized a potential matchup with Chandler as a “easy fight” for Topuria.

Meanwhile, Tsarukyan is preparing for a co-main event bout against Mauricio Ruffy at UFC 331. Tsarukyan expressed confidence that he is already the number one contender and that a victory over Ruffy will solidify his path toward a championship opportunity.
