Armand Duplantis releases anthem for Ultimate Championship

Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis has recorded the official anthem, titled ‘Gold’, for the inaugural Ultimate Championship in athletics. The event is scheduled to take place in Budapest from September 11 to 13.

Duplantis co-wrote the pop song with Carl Silvergran and Oscar Chase, with the latter also serving as producer. The athlete stated that the song was written to represent something ‘much larger than oneself’, reflecting the way athletes represent their families, teams, and coaches.

The music video was filmed in Budapest and features a mix of professional footage, personal clips of Duplantis from his childhood and early athletic career, and appearances by family, friends, and other prominent athletics stars.
