Armando León impresses in debut for NK Osijek

Mexican striker Armando León has made an immediate impact at NK Osijek after joining the club on trial. Following a successful trial period and training sessions, the 26-year-old signed a one-year contract with an option for an additional year, becoming the first Mexican player in the club's history.

León, who previously played in Andorra for Santa Coloma and Ranger's, was recommended to Osijek by manager Federico Bessone, who had previously coached him. In his first start in the SuperSport HNL during a match against Rudeš, León scored two goals in the 12th and 28th minutes, contributing to a decisive victory.

Standing at 189 cm, León's physical presence and playing style have drawn comparisons from teammates and fans to former club favorite Ramon Miereza. He is noted for his aggressive pressing and vertical play, qualities emphasized by Bessone's tactical approach.
