Armando Pérez Sánchez, a politician and academic from Tala, Jalisco, has expressed interest in seeking a local deputy seat for District 1 in the 2027 elections. While not yet a formal candidate, Pérez Sánchez has a history with the Partido del Trabajo (PT), having run as their candidate for the same district in 2021.

Pérez Sánchez’s political background includes a previous stint as a PRI pre-candidate for the municipal presidency of Tala in 2018 and participation in the ‘Sigamos Haciendo Historia’ coalition for the 2024 elections.
