Armatus release date set for January 7, 2027

Counterplay Games, the studio behind Godfall, has announced that its new third-person roguelite shooter, Armatus, is now scheduled for release on January 7, 2027. Originally planned for 2026, the game's launch has been pushed back to allow for further development.

Set in the demon-infested ruins of Paris, players take on the role of the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order. The gameplay revolves around a cycle of combat, death, and rebirth, where players use a combination of firearms and celestial powers to navigate increasingly dangerous hellscapes. The ultimate goal is to locate the Sunless Gate, a mythical passage to heaven.

Armatus will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with availability also confirmed through Game Pass.
